On the morning of Sunday, May 25, 2025, Sisters of Code proudly hosted the graduation ceremony for 25 students who successfully completed the Sisters of Code Ambassadors Program 2025.

We were honored to witness the incredible journey of growth and resilience shown by our 25 students, who remained committed throughout the intensive 15-week training program from January to May 2025.

The ceremony opened with a heartfelt welcome from Mrs. Natalja Rodionova, Founder of Sisters of Code.
In her remarks, she reflected on the humble beginnings of the program back in 2019, when there were just two female trainers and a small group of students. Despite many obstacles—including the challenges brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic—Sisters of Code has remained steadfast in its mission to create a safe and empowering space for girls to learn technology in Cambodia. This unwavering commitment has enabled Sisters of Code to grow significantly. Today, over 1,000 students have graduated from our program.

Following this, Ms. Mab My, Project Manager of Sisters of Code, presented the results from a survey conducted with the 25 students.
Remarkably, 100% of the students shared that they feel more confident in using coding and digital skills after completing the program. In addition, all of them agreed that the learning materials were helpful and easy to understand. Most importantly, every single student said they would recommend the Sisters of Code Ambassadors Program to other female students.
“I highly recommend this course to other women. It is not only educational but also truly inspiring, offering practical insights that women can apply in their careers and daily lives.”— Sisters of Code Ambassador 2025
At the heart of this success are our dedicated trainers, Ms. Oeurn Vapy and Ms. Phen Phallideth, who play a vital role in delivering impactful and engaging learning experiences. They are truly the backbone of our program.

During the event, Ms. Phen Phallideth, trainer of the Leadership and Development modules, took the stage to share her reflections and express her enthusiasm for being part of this inspiring journey.
Once a student in the Sisters of Code program, Ms. Phallideth has since grown into a dedicated trainer. Reflecting on her journey, she shared how much the program has shaped her and how she now strives to do the same for others. “I’m beyond proud of my students today,” she said with a smile. “I know how far they’ve come, because I’ve walked that path too.”
In recognition of her invaluable contributions, Ms. Natalja Rodionova, Founder of Sisters of Code, presented a certificate and a bouquet of flowers to our trainer. We are truly grateful for her dedication to providing effective training and nurturing a supportive environment for learners.

The excitement didn’t end there. Two graduates voluntarily stepped onto the stage to share their stories. In a brief yet powerful presentation, they spoke about what they had learned throughout the program and how the experience helped shape them into confident young women ready to step into the tech world and find their voice in society.

First, Ms. Chao Chealy, Sisters of Code Ambassador 2025, shared her inspiring journey. Chealy is currently double-majoring in Information Technology and English.
While many around her encouraged her to focus solely on English literature, she chose to follow her heart and pursue a career in tech. Her determination to go against the grain and stay true to her passion is both admirable and deeply inspiring—not just to her classmates, but to many other girls who dream of making their mark in the tech field.
Chealy’s journey with Sisters of Code began in 2024 when she joined the Website Development and UX/UI Design course through the Employment Skills Program. Since then, she has found the Sisters of Code community to be a welcoming and empowering space—one that continues to fuel her passion for technology.
Having completed the 15-week Sisters of Code Ambassadors program, Chealy has gained both hard and soft skills and is ready to commit to sharing this knowledge with other girls.

Second, Ms. Un Suning, Sisters of Code Ambassador 2025, gave a heartfelt presentation reflecting on her journey throughout the 15-week program. Suning first joined the Sisters of Code Clubs program back in 2020 when she was just 14 years old.
Five years later, she saw the Ambassadors program as a new opportunity, not only to strengthen her coding, leadership, and communication skills but also to give back by sharing what she has learned with other girls. Now a freshman majoring in Software Development at the American University of Phnom Penh, Suning returned to Sisters of Code with a renewed purpose. This time, she is no longer learning just for herself. She is learning so she can uplift others and inspire more girls to step into tech with confidence.
As a token of appreciation, Ms. Chin Dalin, Project Leader of Sisters of Code, presented both Chealy and Suning with a special Tote Bag to acknowledge their dedication as Ambassadors and to thank them for sharing such inspiring and powerful stories.
Sisters of Code is proud to see how far our students have come and even prouder to witness their continued commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
To recognize the completion of our students' learning journey, we awarded certificates to honor their dedication and growth throughout the program. What made it even more meaningful was that each of the 25 graduates received not just a certificate from Sisters of Code, but also from Deloitte Cambodia.
As part of our collaboration, the students completed two courses in Deloitte’s Work Readiness Program, equipping them with essential skills for today’s job market, from crafting CVs and cover letters to confidently preparing for interviews.
We are also excited to share that 10 Ambassadors out of the 25 graduates will be leading their own coding clubs in 2025. Next year, we will be running 12 coding clubs in Phnom Penh (8 offline and 4 online), 3 clubs in Takeo Province, 2 in Battambang, and 1 in Siem Reap.

When asked what inspired them to teach coding to other girls, many of our Ambassadors gave similar yet powerful responses. They shared that they don’t want to keep what they’ve learned to themselves. Instead, they want to learn and share, to give back, and to be the reason someone else dares to begin. They hope to become role models for other girls in Cambodia to show that if they can learn and thrive in tech, other girls can too.

Finally, Ms. Chin Dalin, Project Leader of Sisters of Code, took the stage to deliver the closing remarks.
In her brief speech, she shared how delighted she was to witness the students’ growth, from being shy and uncertain about their potential in technology to becoming confident individuals ready to step out of their comfort zones and teach others.
Last but certainly not least, our graduates celebrated their special day with delicious cake and refreshments, enjoying meaningful conversations and connecting with their fellow classmates. It was a joyful moment for everyone to relax and savor the occasion.
We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Liechtenstein Development Service for their generous and ongoing support of the Sisters of Code program. Without their commitment, this free training program for girls would not be possible.
We are proud beyond words for all our students and excited to witness the positive difference these young leaders will bring to their communities and beyond.
