Sisters of Code Clubs Program

Program introduction: Sisters of Code Club is an educational program designed to introduce females students to the fundamentals of coding while building their confidence step by step. We emphasize creativity, teamwork, and hands-on learning for students to develop their problem-solving skills and presentation skills. By working on practical projects, students gain more understanding of how technology can make a positive impact in their communities

Course Curriculum

Module 1

Introduction to Cybersecurity and Basic Coding with Code.org

  • Gain an understanding of  the principles of cybersecurity and protection.

  • Understand the concept of algorithms, identify errors in existing code, and practice debugging.

  • Develop teamwork skills by collaboratively creating an animated story.

  • Learn how to create project animations, games, and engaging stories.

Module 2

Game Development with Scratch

  • Understand what Scratch is and how to use it.

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the Scratch interface.

  • Inspired to be creative by planning their own projects.

  • Grasp the basics of game development.

  • Learn how to use sprites to animate their projects.

Module 3

Website Development using HTML/CSS and Wix Template

  • Understand how to create websites using HTML

  • Able to create their own HTML websites.

  • Gain in-depth HTML knowledge for web development.

  • Able to create business, restaurant, and portfolio  websites.

Module 4

Fundamentals of AI

  • Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI)

  • Explore basic AI concepts

  • Understand AI applications in everyday life​

To be eligible for the Sisters of Code Club 2025, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Cambodian female student aged between 10 and 18 years old
     

  • Own a laptop that can be used for both class activities and home practice
     

  • Have a basic understanding of English
     

  • Show a strong interest in coding and technology
     

  • Be committed to attending weekend classes for 18 weeks, based on the schedule you select.
