Beginning in April 2025, Sisters of Code successfully concluded the Employment Skills Program 2025 in Digital Entrepreneurship and Digital Marketing on August 17, 2025 with the final pitch day by the students.
The Employment Skills Program is a 15-week training initiative designed for female students aged 20–25, offering them the opportunity to dive into digital entrepreneurship and digital marketing, apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations, and ultimately transform their business ideas into reality through teamwork.

On the final day of class, our students proudly presented their business plans to a panel of accomplished female judges: Ms. Nuon Roatny, Ms. Thorn Sina, Ms. May Sokuntheary, and Ms. Vat Kimly, representing both private and development sectors. We sincerely appreciate our judges for dedicating their weekend to be with us, listening attentively, and providing thoughtful feedback on the students’ presentations in order to refine their ideas and carry them forward into real-world practice.
6 teams presented their business ideas to demonstrate in practice skills and knowledge they have gained through the course. The assignment was to pitch their ideas to the judges, explaining what problem they are solving and how are they planning to achieve their goals.
PhteahFinder
Members: An Seang Eim, Mom Rotha, Lun Yekmuoy
Coming from diverse backgrounds, Seang Eim, Rotha, and Yekmuoy recognized a shared challenge: the difficulty for students from rural provinces to find safe and decent accommodation in Phnom Penh, and the challenge for landlords to find trustworthy and respectful tenants.
PhteahFinder is then created as a rental housing platform to serve both renters and landlords in Cambodia. It addresses two major local challenges: helping renters find safe and secure homes, and assisting landlords in connecting with reliable tenants. Their vision is “to build a trusted and inclusive rental system in Cambodia where finding a safe home or a reliable tenant is simple, secure, and accessible to everyone.”
The Unveil Clothes Shop
Members: Ek Sopheaksetheariny, Kong Chanraksa, Seng Sodalin, Taing Singchheng
A fashion enthusiast, Theariny, Chanraksa, Sodalin, and Singchheng created The Unveil Clothes Shop. Recognizing challenges such as lack of personalization, quality concerns, high costs, fast fashion, and time constraints, The Unveil Clothes Shop aims to provide trendy, affordable, and comfortable clothing for everyone.
Ultimately, The Unveil Clothes Shop aspires to become a Cambodian fashion brand and app that celebrates Cambodian identity through fashion while supporting local factories, creating jobs, and collaborating with influencers to promote culture and creativity in every outfit. Their vision is “to become Cambodia’s leading digital fashion brand, empowering youth with affordable style and supporting communities through ethical fashion.”
Path2Uni
Members: Khorn Kimeng, Ron Rothana, Somang Sochannimol
Kimeng, Rothana, and Sochannimol noticed that students face limited access to information about higher education pathways and a lack of support once at university, contributing to the educational divide between urban and rural populations.
To address this challenge, Path2Uni is designed as a mobile application to help students transition from high school to university by providing mentorship, scholarship guidance, and support in selecting majors. The group is committed to offering trusted information about universities and scholarships through guidance and support. Their vision is “Every student deserves a fair chance for higher education.”
SabayCareer
Members: Chea Sreymom, Hy Sotheary, Im Sonita, Noeb Sokreaksa, Yi Sotheavy
Drawing from a survey of 60 university students and their own personal experiences, Sreymom, Sotheary, Sonita, Sokreaksa, and Sotheavy came together to create SabayCareer. They observed that today’s job market faces growing challenges, including skills mismatches, low job readiness, limited career guidance for youth, and unequal access to opportunities.
SabayCareer is designed as a mobile app to support both job seekers and recruiters in Cambodia. For job seekers, it offers tools to unlock individual potential through personality tests, smart career-matching technology, and assistance with resume and portfolio preparation. For recruiters, it provides an efficient platform to find qualified candidates. Their vision is “to become Cambodia’s most trusted career guidance platform, reaching schools, universities, and job centers nationwide with accessible, personalized tools that empower confident and meaningful career decisions.”
ShapeVerse
Members: Eng Sive Eu, Ly Meyneang, Tann Seavsing, Sophea Daneth
Sive Eu, Meyneang, Seavsing, and Daneth observed that the fashion industry faces challenges that hinder its growth and sustainability, including high prices coupled with low quality, poor customer service and delivery, and difficulty for customers in finding trendy styles that suit their body shape.
To tackle these challenges, they created ShapeVerse, a clothing brand designed to balance price and quality, deliver a seamless shopping experience with fast delivery, and provide fashion advice through engaging videos. Their core value, “skin tone, fit all shape,” reflects a commitment to inclusivity and authenticity. It responds to the growing consumer demand for fashion that celebrates all body types.
FLEXIBE
Members: Srun Nai Eang, Heang Chantrea, Meng Lita, Sao Sodanin
The current job market presents challenges for both job seekers and recruiters: finding relevant jobs that match skills and identifying the right candidates. In response to this challenge, Nai Eang, Chantrea, Lita, and Sodanin developed FLEXIBE.
FLEXIBE is an online platform designed to help job seekers find positions that align with their skills while enabling recruiters to identify the right candidates, reducing employee turnover. Its mission is to empower employers and job seekers with an efficient and flexible platform. The team aspires to bridge the gap between employers and job seekers by offering a platform that is affordable, efficient, and trustworthy.
Sisters of Code is proud of the business ideas and pitch presentations delivered by each group. Their dedication and hard work reflect the incredible potential of women in the fields of digital entrepreneurship and digital marketing. All they need is a nurturing and supportive environment to exercise their leadership and creativity. Sisters of Code remains committed to providing such an environment, empowering female students to thrive in the digital economy.
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to Ms. Nuon Roatny, Digital Entrepreneurship Course Trainer, and Ms. Thorn Sina, Digital Marketing Course Trainer. Their guidance has been pivotal in helping our students strengthen both their knowledge and interpersonal skills. We also sincerely thank the Liechtenstein Development Service (LED) for their continuous support of Sisters of Code programs, including the Employment Skills Program.
Together, we believe we can empower more girls and women to participate in digital entrepreneurship and digital marketing, contributing meaningfully to Cambodia’s economic growth.
