On 14 March 2026, Sisters of Code successfully organized a free workshop titled “Collaborating with Digital Tools: Assisting Your Daily Work and Study” at IT Academy STEP Cambodia, Olympic branch. This public workshop was made possible by the generous support of the Liechtenstein Development Service (LED).
Recognizing the rapid advancement of technology, Sisters of Code identified a vital need to help students and professionals master practical digital tools. The session was led by Ms. Phoeurt Rathana, a Sisters of Code trainer with a strong background in Information Technology. Among the 33 participants, 93% were female.

Discovering Essential Tools for Study and Work
As the workshop began, participants explored how digital tools can improve efficiency, streamline communication, and maintain organization. The workshop focused on three core areas:
Google Workspace: Participants learned about Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Calendar. These tools allow for real-time collaboration, enabling students to co-edit assignments and manage group schedules seamlessly.
Canva: The group explored this intuitive design platform to create professional presentations and posters.
Trello: To improve project management, participants learned to use Trello to assign tasks, set deadlines, and track team progress visually.
Learning by Doing: Hands-On Practice
To move beyond theory, the workshop featured an interactive group challenge. Each team was tasked with planning a "Digital Literacy Workshop" from scratch. Using their new skills, they created event plans in Google Docs, managed budgets in Google Sheets, assigned responsibilities via Trello, designed promotional slides in Canva, and mapped out timelines in Google Calendar.
This "learning by doing" approach allowed participants to experience firsthand how these platforms support teamwork, problem-solving, and effective project management.
Impact and Results
According to our post-workshop survey this first workshop of 2026 was a success, with 100% of participants expressing full satisfaction with the organization and live demonstrations. The data reflects a significant impact:
74% of attendees reported a significant improvement in their digital skills.

Sisters of Code: Post-workshop Survey Results 95% of the cohort now feels confident applying these tools to their professional and academic lives.

Sisters of Code: Post-workshop Survey Results Future Demand: Participants are already eager for more, with 54% requesting specialized training in AI, Prompt Engineering, and advanced productivity tools like Notion and Excel.

This feedback loop is essential to Sisters of Code; it ensures that our future curriculum remains directly aligned with the real-world needs of students and professionals in Cambodia’s evolving digital landscape.
A Positive Conclusion
The workshop ended on a high note, and we extend our sincere thanks to Ms. Phoeurt Rathana for her dedication and contribution in leading such a beneficial session. To conclude the event, Ms. Song Lauren, Project Manager for Sisters of Code, presented a certificate of appreciation to Ms. Rathana on behalf of the entire team.

Sisters of Code’s Commitment
