Founded in 2019, Sisters of Code started as a small initiative with a mission to empower girls in Cambodia to learn technology. Today, the community has grown to more than 1,000 students, many of whom continue to learn, participate, and take leadership roles in Cambodia’s growing technology sector.

During her speech, Mrs. Natalja shared her belief that girls should — and can — play an important role in shaping the future of digital technology. She also reflected that the celebration of 65 successful graduates is a meaningful sign that more girls are becoming interested in technology, highlighting the importance of continuing to build a supportive, safe, and inclusive environment where girls can learn, grow, and fully unleash their potential.

According to the final survey completed by 59 students, 100% reported that they gained a better understanding of coding, developed new digital skills, and felt more confident in using those skills.

As presented by Ms. My Mab, Project Manager for Sisters of Code, all students also expressed interest in joining other Sisters of Code programs in the future. In addition, 100% said they would recommend Sisters of Code educational programs to other girls as well.

Sisters of Code trainers, Ms. Phen Phallideth and Ms. Chao Chealy, also joined the ceremony and shared heartfelt messages with the students. “I became emotional on the last day of class,” said Ms. Phallideth. She continued, “I’m used to teaching you all every weekend. Now that the class has ended, I already miss those moments. But I’m also very happy to see my students successfully graduate from this intensive program.” Ms. Chealy also shared, “I’m most proud to see my students persist through challenges and make it to graduation today.”

Sisters of Code is deeply grateful to our trainers who dedicate their weekends to teaching girls and equipping them with digital skills that help prepare them to become confident and capable digital citizens.

During the ceremony, two students also took turns delivering short presentations on their journey with the Sisters of Code Ambassadors Program 2026.

Ms. Dy Pichpenhboromey, Sisters of Code Ambassadors 2026, shared that she did not initially receive support to pursue a technology major. However, after learning about Sisters of Code, joining the program, and connecting with female trainers and peers, she began to feel encouraged to pursue a field often seen as male-dominated.

Ms. Noung Mouy, Sisters of Code Ambassadors 2026, ended her presentation with a powerful message: “Girls are not just girls, they are creators, changemakers, and leaders who shape the future.” Ms. Mouy also highlighted the skills she gained from the 15-week program, including basic coding, game development, website development, and fundamentals of AI, as well as leadership and public speaking skills.

Out of 65 graduates from the Sisters of Code Ambassadors Program this year, 22 students have been selected as Sisters of Code Clubs Leaders for 2026. This marks an important milestone in their journey from learners to leaders, as they now step forward to share their knowledge and inspire other girls who are curious and passionate about technology.

Sisters of Code warmly congratulated them on this achievement. To recognize their dedication and growth, Mrs. Natalja presented each of them with a traditional Krama as a token of appreciation and encouragement as they begin their new leadership role.

The celebration continued as Sisters of Code presented certificates of completion to all 65 graduates. Each student received a certificate from Sisters of Code, and those who joined the Work Readiness Program also received an additional certificate from Deloitte Cambodia, a long-standing partner of Sisters of Code in the Ambassadors Program.

She extended heartfelt appreciation to the students for their commitment despite challenges, to the trainers for dedicating their weekends to teaching, to the Sisters of Code team for ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment, and to Deloitte Cambodia for providing training sessions that prepare students for future employment opportunities. Mrs. Dalin also highlighted the important role of parents in supporting their daughters to pursue learning in technology.

The program then moved into a cake-cutting moment, followed by a warm time of celebration, photos, and refreshments shared together.

At its heart, this graduation is more than a closing ceremony. It reflects the Sisters of Code mission to create safe and inclusive spaces where girls can explore technology, build confidence, and grow into future creators and leaders. With the continued support of families, trainers, and partners, we remain committed to empowering more girls to believe in their potential and shape their own future in tech.
