On March 26-28, 2026, Sisters of Code was proud to participate in the 4th National Day of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI), organized by the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI).
It was an incredible three days! Around 400 people visited our booth to inquire about our programs, dive into our educational quizzes, and take home some fun prizes.

Building Cambodia’s Tech Future
STI Day is an essential annual event. It aims to strengthen the role of science and technology in Cambodia’s socioeconomic development by bringing together government leaders, the private sector, and educational institutions.
As the first all-female non-profit coding club in Cambodia, it was an honor for us to witness such a vibrant celebration of local innovation. Events like this do more than just showcase milestones; they create a space where tech enthusiasts can meet, share experiences, and grow together.
The Highlight: Meeting Our Community
The energy at our booth was fueled by the students, the majority of whom were young women. They arrived with enthusiasm and lists of prepared questions, showing a deep curiosity for the digital world.

One standout moment was meeting a grade 11 student who shared her passion in joining our Employment Skills Program (a free 15-week digital skills training for university and TVET students)."I will closely follow Sisters of Code's social media platforms so I won't miss out on this opportunity," she told us.
Beyond meeting newcomers, we were touched to see so many Sisters of Code alumni stop by. Hearing about their journeys after the program, many of whom are now pursuing full-time technology degree, reminded us why we do this work.
Fun, Games, and Learning
Throughout the 3-day exhibition, we kept things interactive with quizzes designed to test knowledge of the tech world and our programs. We were impressed by how many participants got the answers right! To celebrate their tech-savviness, we distributed around 100 Sisters of Code keychains to our winners.
We are deeply grateful to the Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation for the opportunity to exhibit our programs at such a critical event.
Sisters of Code remains committed to providing free, high-quality education for female students in a safe and supportive environment. We are excited to keep preparing these young women to be the creators and leaders of the science and technology that will drive Cambodia forward.
