Sisters of Code is proud to announce that we have been awarded the Best Digital Inclusion Award 2025 at the 11th Cambodia Digital Award Ceremony, held on 6 December 2025 as part of the Digital Government Forum 2025. This prestigious national event highlights outstanding contributions in advancing digital transformation and fostering inclusive access to technology across Cambodia.
This recognition is a significant milestone for Sisters of Code and reinforces our mission to empower girls and young women through free, high-quality digital education.

Empowering Girls Through Technology
Established in 2019 under IT Academy STEP Cambodia, Sisters of Code is a non-profit initiative and the first female coding club in the country. Our mission is to reduce the gender gap in technology by providing girls with accessible learning opportunities, supportive communities, and the confidence to pursue careers in the digital sector.
Our programs — ranging from coding clubs to web design, workshop trainings and professional skills in digital entrepreneurship and marketing — are offered free of charge, ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds can participate without financial barriers.

What This Award Means
Winning the Best Digital Inclusion Award 2025 acknowledges:
Our leadership in expanding digital access for girls and young women
Our commitment to building safe and supportive learning environments
Our role in equipping the next generation with essential digital and creative skills
Our contribution to Cambodia’s efforts to build a more inclusive and future-ready digital society
This award is also a reflection of the growing importance of digital inclusion in national development, especially as highlighted by the Digital Government Forum 2025.

“Receiving this award is a proud moment for our entire community. It reaffirms our belief that every girl deserves a chance to learn, innovate, and lead in the digital era. We remain committed to expanding opportunities and ensuring that more young women across Cambodia can benefit from accessible digital education.” — Sisters of Code Leadership Team
Appreciation to the Ministry and Our Partners
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications for organizing the Cambodia Digital Award each year and for recognizing initiatives that contribute to digital inclusion. Their continued support — along with the encouragement of national and international partners — enables Sisters of Code to grow, innovate, and offer all programs completely free of charge.
Since 2019, Sisters of Code has been able to reach a wide number of students across Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang, Takeo, and additional provinces through online learning, empowering hundreds of girls annually.
Thank You to Our Supporters
This achievement is made possible by our students, trainers, volunteers, partners, and supporters. Your trust and collaboration have helped Sisters of Code grow from a small initiative into a national movement advancing gender equality in technology.
What’s Next for Sisters of Code
Moving forward, we aim to:
Grow community locally in Cambodia and expand to more locations through Ambassadors program and partnerships
