Empowering Girls Through Technology

Established in 2019 under IT Academy STEP Cambodia, Sisters of Code is a non-profit initiative and the first female coding club in the country. Our mission is to reduce the gender gap in technology by providing girls with accessible learning opportunities, supportive communities, and the confidence to pursue careers in the digital sector.

Our programs — ranging from coding clubs to web design, workshop trainings and professional skills in digital entrepreneurship and marketing — are offered free of charge, ensuring that students from diverse backgrounds can participate without financial barriers.

We remain committed to expanding opportunities and ensuring that more young women across Cambodia can benefit from accessible digital education.” — Sisters of Code Leadership Team

Appreciation to the Ministry and Our Partners

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications for organizing the Cambodia Digital Award each year and for recognizing initiatives that contribute to digital inclusion. Their continued support — along with the encouragement of national and international partners — enables Sisters of Code to grow, innovate, and offer all programs completely free of charge.

Since 2019, Sisters of Code has been able to reach a wide number of students across Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang, Takeo, and additional provinces through online learning, empowering hundreds of girls annually.
