At Sisters of Code, our Employment Skills Program (ESP) is designed to equip girls with in-demand skills in Digital Entrepreneurship & Digital Marketing, and Website Development & UX/UI Design with support from the Liechtenstein Development Service (LED). To make sure, that students not only study in the classrooms, but gain real life experience, we have organised a possibility to visit several companies in Phnom Penh and learn from them about their experience in developing businesses across three dynamic sectors: real estate, fashion, and technology. Students connected with inspiring entrepreneurs, explored real business operations, and received powerful feedback on their own startup ideas.
CENTURY 21 Cambodia
Our journey began at CENTURY 21 Cambodia, a globally recognized real estate brand. Here, students learned how a bold rebranding- while staying rooted in the iconic black and gold identity- helped the company remain modern and competitive in a fast-changing market. Students saw firsthand how strategic branding, leadership, and innovation can fuel long-term growth and global success. It also opened their minds to what scalability looks like when a business combines a strong identity with a clear mission.
Dorsu Cambodia

Our students stepped into the world of Dorsu Cambodia, a company that is challenging the fast fashion industry by prioritizing ethical production and sustainability. Our students had the chance to sit down with the Managing Director and learn how a purpose-driven business is built from the ground up. For students exploring digital marketing and entrepreneurship in fashion, this visit sparked new ideas and pushed them to rethink their own values as future business owners.
Sala Tech

Sala Tech, a growing Cambodian tech company. Before the session, students introduced themselves and pitched the business ideas they’ve been working on during their ESP course. The CEO didn’t just share the company’s services, and he opened up about the hard realities of entrepreneurship, including early struggles, financial hurdles, and the determination it took to succeed. He offered honest, practical advice and helped students see what it really takes to bring an idea to life and scale it successfully.
Students Learned from the Business Visits
Sharpen Ideas: Real entrepreneurs helped them to see the weak points in their business ideas and showed us how to make them stronger and more effective.
Find Clear Direction: The students learned how to create actionable plans to develop, market, and grow their businesses step by step.
Build Confidence Through Support: Being encouraged and taken seriously by experienced professionals gave our students the confidence to believe in themselves and our business ideas.
Stay Motivated and Persistent: Success doesn’t come overnight. These visits reminded our students to stay focused, work hard, and keep pushing toward our goals.
Gratitude Message to our Partners
Sisters of Code is deeply grateful to GIZ Cambodia for supporting this experience and to our incredible hosts—CENTURY 21 Cambodia, Dorsu Cambodia, and Sala Tech—for opening your doors and your minds to our students. Your time, insights, and encouragement are planting seeds that will grow Cambodia’s next generation of female tech and business leaders.
At Sisters of Code, we don’t just teach coding. We create experiences that empower girls to believe in their potential and act on their dreams. These site visits showed our students what’s possible and gave them a glimpse of the future they can create.
