In 2025, hundreds of young women across Cambodia took their first steps into the world of technology—many for the very first time. Sisters of Code is proud to share our Performance and Achievements Report 2025, reflecting a year of meaningful growth, strong partnerships, and expanding opportunities for girls and young women.
This report highlights the programs we implemented, the communities we reached, and the progress we made in empowering young women with digital and employment skills. Throughout 2025, Sisters of Code continued working toward our mission by providing free digital education, leadership development, and career preparation programs across Cambodia.

The Sisters of Code Ambassadors Program continued to play a key role in developing leadership among young women interested in technology. Beyond technical training, the program focused on leadership, communication, teamwork, and mentorship skills. Ambassadors were encouraged to take initiative and give back to their communities by supporting younger students. In 2025, the program received 103 applications, selected and trained 34 students, and successfully graduated 25 participants who received certificates upon completion. A total of 17 ambassadors lead 17 coding clubs across Cambodia, helping inspire and mentor the next generation of girls in tech.

2025 marked another important milestone as more young women joined our Sisters of Code Clubs Program and more partners supported our vision of inclusive digital education. One of the most significant achievements was the rapid growth of the Sisters of Code Clubs Program applications. We received 496 applications, nearly doubling interest compared to the previous year. From these, 270 students were selected to participate in 17 coding clubs across Cambodia, expanding beyond Phnom Penh and Battambang, Takeo and Siem Reap.

To better support female university students for real-world careers, the Sisters of Code Employment Skills Program provided practical training for female university students in their 3rd and 4th year. The program offered two learning tracks—Website Development & UX/UI Design, and Digital Entrepreneurship & Digital Marketing. In 2025, the program received 358 applications, accepted 100 students, and successfully graduated 65 students. To strengthen practical experience, the program also introduced business site visits and a Work Readiness Workshop in collaboration with Deloitte Cambodia, helping students build essential career skills such as CV writing, interview preparation, and professional communication. Based on the follow-up survey conducted three months after graduation showed strong results, with 92% of students reporting increased confidence in applying for opportunities and 62% securing internships or jobs.
Inspiring Young Women Through Workshops and Events
In addition to its core programs, Sisters of Code organized public workshops and community events to inspire young women to explore careers in technology. One of the major highlights of the year was the Day of AI in Education 2025, which brought together more than 400 participants, including students, educators, and technology professionals. The event explored how artificial intelligence can support learning and innovation in Cambodia.
Key highlights from 2025 included:
Celebration of the 5th Anniversary of Sisters of Code
Girls in ICT Day events in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap
Free workshops on coding, web development, and career development
Online sessions exploring careers in the IT industry
Recognition for Digital Inclusion

2025 was also a year of recognition for Sisters of Code and its mission to promote inclusive digital education. The organization was honored with the Best Digital Inclusion Award at the Cambodia Digital Awards 2025, recognizing its contribution to empowering young women and promoting gender equality in technology. This achievement reflects the dedication of our team, partners, volunteers, and students who continue working together to create opportunities for girls in tech.
Expanding Partnerships
Partnerships played an important role in expanding the reach of Sisters of Code Programs in 2025. Collaborations with educational institutions, NGOs, and private sector organizations helped bring digital education to more communities.
Key partners included:
Community Tech Centers under the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications

Looking Ahead

By investing in the skills and confidence of young women today, we are helping build a future where girls across Cambodia can become innovators, leaders, and changemakers in the digital economy. Together, we are not only teaching digital skills—we are building confidence, opening doors, and creating a future where every girl knows she belongs in technology.
